Heat pump design and components

Elegant and functional housing - uniform fin casing, tested in a wind tunnel. The design of the housing is safe and durable and constructed to give the heat pump an exclusive look from all sides - so the Varmero heat pump can be installed in any location and arrangement in relation to the house.
The large gaps between the evaporator fins of 2.3 mm result in longer intervals between defrost cycles. In addition, the shaped tubes inside the fins, forming a spiral pattern, improve the efficiency of heat transfer and more efficient evaporation of the R290 refrigerant. The hydrophilic layer on the surface of the evaporator means that condensed water spreads quickly across the fins without clumping into large droplets. In addition, it increases the area and speeds up the rate of heat exchange, effectively preventing the noise generated by condensed water blocking the airflow.
A large-surface-area evaporator ensuring high pump performance, confirmed by certification, and stable operation at sub-zero temperatures. The non-curved shape of the evaporator allows for efficient airflow - no 'dead' zones.
A mounting console with a coherent design, forming an integral part of every set. It enables the overall aesthetics of the Varmero heat pump to be maintained as well as its stability.
Ultra-quiet, three-blade, low-speed axial fan for the lowest acoustics with minimal tonality. Biomimetic, optimised blades that minimise noise, whilst ensuring smooth operation and high durability thanks to two-level dynamic balancing. The air guide guarantees an even distribution of air flow.
Natural Refrigerant R290 - The Varmero heat pump utilizes R290 (propane), a natural refrigerant with one of the lowest Global Warming Potential (GWP) values currently available. This environmentally responsible refrigerant contrib- utes to higher energy efficiency and compliance with future environmental regulations.
Copeland inverter-type scroll compressor controlled by a controller of the same manufacturer. The variable-speed, low-noise compressor features durability, as well as the best Coefficients of Performance. The compressor uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R290.
A fully touch-sensitive control panel, resistant to vibrations and changing environmental conditions. It is equipped with an LED matrix and a 1.5 GHz Quadcore processor.
The condensate collecting tray is equipped with a system that uses waste heat to heat it up in order to prevent the condensate from freezing - no need for electrical reheating of the collecting tray. In addition, the condensate drainage line has the option of direct connection to the drainage system, thanks to a solution that prevents the condensate from freezing.

Its heating capacity range of 3 to 13 kW ensures full coverage of heating demand for detached residential properties. With a very low sound power level of 44.4 dB(A), it is an ideal solution for individual residential buildings located in densely built-up areas.

The Varmero VPM 9020 heat pump is designed for buildings with reduced thermal insulation performance as well as for commercial facilities. Its capacity range of 4 to 21 kW ensures full coverage of heating demand for detached residential buildings as well as commercial properties. It is also an ideal solution for public utility buildings and medium-sized industrial facilities, thanks to its cascade operation capability. When configured in a cascade system, the total heating capacity of the installation reaches 84 kW.

Varmero - Smart APP

The Varmero app is designed to make managing Varmero pumps easier, whether the owner prefers to use the mobile or web versions. Specific settings are also available directly on the controller usually located in the boiler room. By installing the app on a phone or using a laptop/computer, the following functions are available to each user:

  • Live view of the pump and its status, including view of messages generated by the device controller
  • Setting operating modes
  • Tracking the settings selected by a particular user
  • Monitoring the current speeds of the compressor and fan
  • The ability to define schedules for specific heating circuit
  • Reminder regarding the service and information about the installer/service technician
  • Analysis of historical data

In order to meet users' expectations, the following special modes can also be defined in the application:

The AWAY FROM HOME mode is set during holidays and longer periods of absence. In this mode, you can set departure and return dates, and programme the heating of the house just before you return to it so that you don't have to return to cold rooms.
The DAY AT HOME mode is particularly useful for people who occasionally work from home or are at home on an irregular basis – in this mode, you can set the system to maintain MY COMFORT temperature for the next 8 hours (the app displays the elapsed time).
FAST WATER HEATING mode that allows the desired DHW temperature to be reached in a much shorter time than usual. This mode will come in handy, for example, if we have unexpected visitors or the kids come back from sledging earlier than planned, feeling cold.

The Varmero pump also allows you to select heating, cooling and ‘auto’ modes, as well as control via a heating curve.
